Inscription - January 2024: Learn to sew / Open projects
Level: Really beginner...I don't know how a sewing machine works...or I don't remember !
Objectives: (Re)discover the world of sewing, the vocabulary, the tools, the basic techniques. How to work with an existing sewing pattern to make a personal project.
Duration: 5 lessons / 3 hours per lesson / 1 lesson per week / total of 15 hours
Materials: You will have access to one of our sewing machines, our tools, our patterns and tutorials so no need to bring anything! However, you may have to go shopping to buy the fabric needed to make your personal project if you don't like the fabrics available at the studio.
Welcome Gift: Access to the ''Open Studio'' and our sewing machines for a period of 2 hours (value of 20$).
Price: $275 taxes included
Minimum 2 students / Maximum 5 students

On the menu: This sewing class will allow you to learn how a sewing machine works and will give you the tools to start creating your own projects!
1st Class: General theory on tools and fabrics, threading the sewing machine and making a small pouch with a zipper.
2nd Class : General theory on using a sewing pattern. Selection of a project with the teacher. Copying and adjusting the pattern. Tips for choosing the right fabric for your project.
3rd Class : Adjusting the pattern to your measurements and cutting fabric. Starting to sew the project for the quickest ;)
4th and 5th class : Sewing your project.
We reserve the right to adapt the content of the course and the order of our explainations if it means offering a better assistance to our students.
- Registration for the course comes with an immediate payment of $55 as an administrative fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the first lesson, these fees are non-refundable.
- The balance of $220 must be paid during the first lesson in cash, credit card or debit.
