​Private sewing lessons will help you meet your goals faster! Learn at your own pace, according to your schedule, while benefiting from the attentive and dynamic expertise of our teachers! We will guide you through the world of sewing; including pattermaking, fixing your clothes and making custom-fit unique fashion! We have our own sewing machines but If you have one, you can bring it and we'll even help you understand how it works! In short, la Fabrique éthique offers workshops tailored just for you :)

Private lesson (for one person) $ 90 taxes included, 3 hours per lesson!
Semi-private lesson (2 persons or more): 70$ per person per class, taxes included, 3 hours per lesson!

*** Fabric NOT included, but available for a small extra fee***

Owner and Director of La Fabrique éthique


Sonia graduated from Cégep Marie-Victorin in Fashion Design in 2001 to work as a designer in various Montreal fashion companies. She subsequently perfected her skills by studying Fibers at Concordia University. Concerned by Sustainable Development, she founded la Fabrique éthique in order to allow people to create their own projects, with love :)

Since 2011 she enables people to create clothes and fashion accessories that fit their taste and size. She loves to introduce people to the world of sewing and thinks that luxury, in its deepest meaning, is to possess the capacity to create truly unique garments.

Enyse Charles

Enyse graduated from Lasalle College in Fashion Design in 2013 and then went on to hold the position of quality control technician at Groupe Dynamite. An entrepreneur at heart, she now owns her own sewing studio. Her various contracts, ranging from bespoke evening dresses to costumes for the Cirque du Soleil, have given her a wide range of skills.

She believes that being able to create clothes that fit and flatter your physiognomy is an amazing skill! For Enyse, sewing is also a creative hobby that gives you the opportunity to take a little time for yourself. In addition, knowing how to sew provides a lot of freedom and creativity! When you know how to sew, it's possible to make and repair everything! 

You will therefore meet a pleasant, calm and organized teacher who will accompany you with great attention and dedication. She wants to share her passion and her skills and will always go a step beyond in order to allow you to do well.

Ysaline Lannes:
Owner of the label 1ER MAI


Ysaline has been working in the fashion and textile industry for 10 years. She holds a college diploma in Fashion Design from Cégep Marie-Victorin,​  has held various positions as a costume designer, designer, stylist and seamstress before launching her own high-end streetwear label ; 1ER MAI. Ysaline offers graphic and functional clothing for women, men, and gender neutral, inspired by the dress codes of uniforms and countercultures. She works mainly with natural materials and uses fine craft techniques including weaving, macramé, embroidery and patchwork to recycle and enhance textile materials that she selects with the utmost care.

Ysaline joins us to share her passion for creation. She simply wants to share her expertise as well as her know-how with our students, for fun :)

Jayneeva Killa

Jayneeva has been passionate about sewing since a very young age. She finally took the final plunge in 2018 and decided to pursue her studies in tailor-made clothing at ''Métiers des Faubourgs''. Since then, she has been working in various positions as a professional seamstress. However, it is undoubtedly her most recent mandate at the organization ''Mains Utiles'', where she teaches women from various cultural communities to learn how to sew in order to flourish, that led her to join our team.

For Jayneeva, sewing is an activity that allows you make clothes and gifts for the people you care about. Learning to sew means acquiring skills that will allow you to repair your clothes, become more independent and save money. But above all, to look at the fruit of your efforts with satisfaction and pride.

Jayneeva is a cheerful, jovial, welcoming and curious person. She has a lot of patience and loves to encourage her students. With her capacity to listen and adapt, she is offering you a little moment out of your busy everyday life to allow you to develop your skills and thus, create your own projects.

Natacha Casset

Natacha left France to establish herself in Quebec 5 years ago. Changing country presented her with the opportunity to change her life ; and she seized did! Her intent was to transform her passion for sewing into a career so she chose to trade her job in communication and return to school. First in Fashion Design at Lasalle College, then in Fashion and Bespoke Tailoring at Métiers des Faubourgs.

For her, sewing is a real magical power that not only allows you to create and transform matter ; but also to regain some control over our modern world. All you have to do is sit in front of your sewing machine, imagine a wardrobe that you like and fits your physiognomy, repair your favorite pieces and invent unique gifts!

Whether it's when making clothing or accessories, she likes to ​give her best advices in order to enable her students to overcome small of big challenges
. She loves to share their greatest moments of pride when they succeed.

You can therefore expect to meet an attentive, positive, gentle, bright and creative teacher. She will be able to guide you in your projects ; all that with lightness and a touch of humor.
